This was is the annual Christmas Party at the Butte Creek Country Club. It was produced by Dave Mulqueeney, with the assistance of K. R. Robertson. Dave chaired the meeting. He opened the meeting. He asked Jane Ziad to lead the flag salute, which she did. Jim Patterson then gave the invocation.

VISITING ROTARIANS & GUESTS

There were many guests and later on in the meeting Dave asked each member to introduce their spouses and other guests.

NEXT MEETING

There are/were no meetings on December 23, 2008 or December 30, 2008.

The next meeting is a Club Assembly on January 6, 2009 at the Butte Creek Country Club.

Crab Feed

Remember each member will be responsible to purchase 4 tickets. Members are encouraged to sell more.

A live auction is also being planned for the Crab Feed. Start thinking about your donations to the auction.

NOTICE OF ELECTION OF OFFICERS

This should occur at the next meeting on January 6, 2009.

The slate of officers proposed by the Nominating Committee:

We also need to elect a member of the Board of Trustees for the Foundation to replace Roy Ellis, whose three year term expires on June 30, 2009. So think about nominees.

New Member Proposed

The following has been proposed as a new member:

Craig Hastain, of Bearing, Belt and Chain Co., with a classification of Retail Bearing Sales. His sponsor is Dar Meyer.

The program was the Christmas Party. We had the silent auction with a lot of items donated to be bid on. We had entertainment from the 40 piece Durham High School Symphonic Band. They reported that they were selecrted to go to Disnyland and play. They needed some transportation money. The Club donated $300. We also had Christmas caroling led by former member, now Oroville Rotarian, Larry Bradley and accompanied by the Symphonic Band.
