Soon to be Ex-President Daryl opened  his demotion meeting at the Butte Creek Country Club.  He asked Bill Apger to lead the pledge, which he did.  Then Jim Patterson offered the invocation.

FUTURE MEETINGS:

July 1st:   Harvest Festival Planning session by Steve Greenwood.

July 8th:  Dave Jessen will present a program about Camp Grizzly.

July 15th:  Glenn Pulliam will conduct a Club Assembly.

July 22nd:  Roy Ellis will have the Camp Royal students present to talk about their experiences.

July 29th:  District Governor, Jim Campbell and his wife Linda will be visiting.

Ged reports that the BCCC will not be available 9/2, 9/23, 11/4 and 12/9.  Any ideas on where we can meet.  Perhaps Dar can do a Football meeting on one of the last two.

VISITING ROTARIANS & GUESTS

Bill Apger introduced Mark Stuenkel of the Chico Sunrise Club.

Roy Ellis, Mike Wacker and Andy Farrar introduced the guest spouses present.  Introduced were Jan Ellis, Dianne Farrar, Cindy Price, Anne Polk, Jan Wacker and Sharon Robertson.

NEXT MEETING

Steve Greenwood will conduct a Harvest Festival planning session.  This was convenient for new president Glenn Pulliam, who, keeping up the tradition of recent presidents, will miss his first meeting.  Bring your ideas for improvements.

PROGRAM

President Daryl recounted the success of the Harvest Festival at raising the most money we have yet raised for scholarships.  He admitted he fall a little short in assessing recognitions.  Glenn says to be prepared because he will make that up in the first month.

At this point Andy Farrar took over the meeting and conducted the Demotion of President Daryl.  He first discussed Daryl’s history including mix-ups between Daryl and his twin brother.  He then presented Daryl with his Rotary Jacket.  But that proved to be too big.  So Andy found another one that fit.  He also presented Daryl with a Rotary tie to wear with the jacket, his past-president’s pin and a magnifying glass to see the diamond.  He was also given a past president’s plaque.

At this point Daryl turned the club gavel over to new President Glenn Pulliam.

Glenn announced that he had filled all the appointed positions.  K. R. Robertson will remain Secretary.  Steve Plume will remain Treasurer.  Mike Crump is the President-Elect.  Tom Knowles will be Club Service Chairperson.  Roy Ellis will be the Vocations Chairperson,  Barbara Gaskins will be the Sergeant at Arms.  There are more, and they will be reported as soon as President Glenn emails them to me.

There are two clip art pieces I am thinking of to use for Glenn.  Which one do you vote for? They are as follows:

As to the rest of the Demotion, see the photos below:

A little big?

This jacket fits better.
