NEXT MEETING

At the next meeting Joe Nock (with the help of his son, John) will present Colleen Aguiar from the Butte County Farm Bureau.  Since there were millions in damages to Butte County agriculture due to the recent storms, Colleen is a timely speaker.

REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CRAB FEED

Chris Hatch reported that plans are well under way.  The crab is still in the Pacific Ocean, but they are planning to be here by January 26th, the day of the Crab Feed.

Steve Greenwood has distributed 4 tickets to all members.  Each of you are responsible for those tickets and will be billed for them.  Steve reported that he had about 125-130 tickets left to be sold.  Call him for more tickets to sell.  We need to sell them all.

Glenn Pulliam is preparing the work schedule and will have it at the next meeting.  Because this will be the last meeting before the Crab Feed, there will be a short meeting following the next meeting to go over the work schedule and the operation of the Crab Feed.

CLUB BYLAWS

K. R. Robertson asks that you get your comments to him about the Bylaws he distributed in December, which you have, I am sure, reviewed as he asked.  We will eventually discuss them.  We cannot find the Bylaws for the Club and need to adopt new ones.

District 5160 Conference

A Rotary Conference, Golf Event, Poker Tournament, a Rotary Club Hospitality Party in the theme of the Prospectors (think Gold Rush era, Paint Your Wagon).  The pricing is reasonable, the lodging is inexpensive.  There is a 25% discount for registering before December 31, 2007.  Go to www.rotary5160.org and get all the details.

Lodging is limited.  Call now for room reservations:

They have all been posted as required and it is now time to induct them.

RECOGNITIONS

Bruce Miller left the Grinder with President Daryl to be auctioned.  Bidding was opened by Jim Edwards (in absencia) in the amount of $35.  Dar Meyer interrupted the bidding by reporting on the program for January 29th, which is Walt Schaefer’s daughter, Kim.  His interruption was interpreted as a bid of $100 and he got the Grinder for the rest of January and February for that amount.
