Past President Dave Mulqueeney, as Chairman of the Christmas Party, usurped President Daryl, and called the meeting to order at Butte Creek Country Club.  He asked Andy Farrar to lead the pledge and Jim Patterson to give the invocation, which both did

VISITING ROTARIANS & GUESTS

 

Former member Al Lotspeich showed up to make up, not knowing that it was our Christmas Party, so he called his wife to come.

 

A number of members had guests, but it wasn’t possible to get all the names, so I won’t recount any, other than to say that Val Bowlby, wife of former member Don Bowlby, deceased, came with us.

NOTICE FOUNDATION OF ELECTIONS

 

Before the program there will be an election of a Foundation Trustee.

 

Mike Wacker and Bill Apger have been nominated to fill Dar Meyers’ 3 year term as Trustee, which expires on June 30, 2008.

CLUB BYLAWS

 

K. R. Robertson asks that you review them the propose Bylaws he passed around at the last meeting and submit your comments to him.  We will eventually discuss them.  We cannot find the Bylaws for the Club and need to adopt new ones.

 

 

 

SEEKING NOMINATIONS FOR DISTRICT GOVERNOR NOMINEE:

At this time, RI District 5160 is seeking nominations for the position of District Governor Nominee who will serve as Governor in Rotary Year 2010/2011.

DUE DATES AND FORMS:

By December 17, 2007 all Clubs wishing to nominate a candidate must send an original RI Nomination Form along with a Club Resolution adopted at a regular Club Meeting naming and certifying that the candidate meets all of the qualifications for District Governor.

Note:           Qualifications for District Governor can be found in the RI Manual of Procedures, Section XV, 15.070 of the RI Bylaws and in the District 5160 Policy Manual, Section III, paragraphs 1-8. The Policy Manual can be located at WWW.Rotary5160.org.

Additionally the candidate should send a standard resume describing other background information that would be helpful to the Nominating Committee.

QUALIFICATION FOR DISTRICT GOVERNOR:

  • Must have served a full term as Club President
  • Must have served at the District Level as an Assistant Governor or Chair of one of the major committees.
  • Participated is another activity in the community beyond role in Rotary. 
  • Displayed both leadership and motivational skills. 
  • Experienced in managing an organizational budget and preferably in a non-profit organization. 
  • Must be in good health and possess above level of an energetic personality. 
  • Must have achieved significant accomplishments as Club President or at the District Level.
  • Must be able to attend all district activities and events. 
  • Must possess a clear vision of what he/she wants to accomplish as Governor. 
  • Must agree to a six-year commitment (DG, DGE, DGN and 3 years on Finance and Nominating Committee).

CHRISTMAS PARTY

 

 

 

 

Dave Mulqueeney put on a great Christmas Party.  We had a Tri-Tip dinner, followed by entertainment  by “Sparkling Harmoney”, a women’s barber shop group.  Then former member Larry Bradley led the Club in singing Christmas songs.  The Silent Auction tables were overflowing and, hopefully produced a nice profit for the Club.  Thanks to all for your donations.  The rest is in the photos below:
